Airing your dirty laundry is just one of the way’s Simone Spittle has perfected the art of over sharing. In a show that promises to expose the awkwardly funny moments in a world that’s constantly trying to present its best side, ‘The Art of Oversharing’ is here to welcome home truths with open arms.

Simone is an artist who has crafted your deepest fears & embarrassing mishaps into a unique fusion of comedy, pop and refreshingly honest storytelling. Showcasing 25 years of classical piano under her belt, vocals since she could form vowels and a lifetime on the stage, ‘The Art of Oversharing’ is the perfect Saturday night for those who seek magic in mayhem.

The Artists

Simone Spittle
Simone Spittle is an artist as quirky as her name implies. A classically trained pianist from the age of 5 and singer since she could speak, Simone is a fearless writer who stops at nothing to create art for art’s sake. A prolific songwriter about all the things you shouldn’t talk about, Simone has the innate ability to make you laugh, cringe and cry at the same time. In a Melbourne first, Simone released her independent debut EP ‘I Fall Into Clouds of Dreams’ in a Fitzroy Laundromat in May 2017. She is currently completing her first full studio album and plans to tour internationally in 2019.

Jeanie Proude
Vocalist and songwriter Jeanie Proude originally hails from South Australia but has spent the last 5 years in Perth studying Jazz at WAAPA. Her influences sit anywhere between Ella Fitzgerald and Alanis Morrisette, to Amy Winehouse and Gretchen Parlato. Jeanie regularly performs as a vocalist and guitarist around Perth performing jazz, pop and her own originals. Passionate about the art of songwriting, Jeanie is particularly excited to perform Simone’s songs who has truly honed that art!

Valerio Fiorini
Born in a family of musicians, Valerio began to play drums at the age of seven. When he was ten years old he picked up his first guitar, which marked the beginning of a life-long love relationship with both instruments. The lure of music was always too powerful, leading Valerio to study with some of the best teachers and performers in Europe and Australia. Today, he holds a diploma in guitar and music theory from the acclaimed “Ladybird” school of Music in his home town of Rome, where he studied with Brazilian-Jazz virtuoso Eddy Palermo. He has attended master-classes with internationally renowned musicians such as Scott Henderson, Russell Ferrante, Frank Gambale, Mike Stern and Allan Holdsworth, and holds a degree in Jazz Performance from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Today Valerio performs in a variety of music ensembles, either as session musician and band leader. He also works as an arranger, transcriber, composer, tutor and drummer/percussionist. Favourite music styles: Jazz, Fusion, Latin, Contemporary, Pop. Valerio about music: “Music is a gift for everyone” Favourite quote: “If you can walk, you can dance.. if you can talk, you can sing…” (Traditional Zimbabwe)

Sacha McCulloch
Western Australian ‘cellist, Sacha Yolande McCulloch graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 2012 with a Masters of Arts under the tutelage of Felix Schmidt. She has been the recipient of 16 various scholarships and awards during her tertiary career and is the alumnus of several illustrious chamber music programs including the Australian International Chamber Music Festivals Emerging Artists program and the European Chamber Music Academy Wiener Sessions just this year where she had the privilege of studying under incomparable artists such as Johannes Meissl, Jerome Pernoo and Hatto Beyerle.
Sacha’s performance career has seen her travel the globe, having taken the stage across Europe, Australia, Britain, America and Canada. In London where she was based, Sacha has been privileged to perform in notable venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth & Purcell Rooms, Cadogan Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
Sacha performs regularly as a recitalist in the UK and home in Australia as both a soloist and a chamber musician. Sacha’s trio performances in Genova Italy were reviewed in La Repubblica 2013 as possessing both “sustained interpretive intelligence” and “exceptional lyrical elegance”.
