Jack Rabbit Slim's

We’re dropping the second single, ‘Go Away’ off our upcoming EP (TBA) at Jack Rabbit Slim’s this April.

The track is a frenetic onslaught of paranoid silliness, endlessly swirling rhythms and fuzzy guitars + according to Sam Blitvich is reminiscent of a track you’d hear on Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3.

An arguably more reputable source, X-Press Magazine, referred to our sound as “dirty, fuzzy and loud, but all in the right ways.” Drawing comparisons between WAVVES King of the Beach era and early DZ Deathrays.

On top of being nominated for a WAM award for ‘Most Popular New Act’ Candy Guts spent 2017 selling out their own shows around town and supporting International and National acts such as: WAVVES, The Courtneys, The Belligerants & The Bennies.

With a nostalgic/90s inspired video clip produced and directed by the freaks at LOSER UNIT and an EP and National Tour set to be announced, Candy Guts won’t be slowing down anytime soon, carrying last years momentum well and truly into 2018.

??Support Announcement Time ??

First up, for our main support, we’ve got the amazing Carla Geneve.
Last year was a big year for Carla, she earned 3 WAM noms (Winning best Rural Act), She came first place in the Mojo Rising comp, supported some wicked acts (Stella Donnelly, Alex Lahey, Birds of Tokyo) and released a couple of gut wrenching, unapollogetic, politically charged bangers.

Next, we got the big-bad-sad-dad crew ‘EAT ALONE’
This band is fresh af and features some pretty talented blokes from some disgustingly good bands.
Say G’day to Joel ‘Reformed Grunge Lord Turned Synth Maestro’ Martin (FOAM), Ethan ‘Vinnie hits the skins like no other” Darnell (Tired Lion), Jacob ‘Without a doubt the funniest dude I have on Instagram- also the most talented lol’ Diamond and Harley ‘H-Banger’ Barnaby (FOAM, The Love Junkies).

And opening up the night for us is Scarborough’s newest up and comers ‘The Other Guys’. They may be fresh to the scene but that hasn’t stopped them already selling out their own headline shows; charming audiences with their soulful lyrics and bouncy melodies. Make sure you get down early to catch these boys in action.

On top of that we got Tired Lion X Childsaint DJs dropping all your fav 90s/early 2000s hits. Jesus… Let me catch my breath…
